GTB Crank Jaw/Pin Help

Postby Jeff Blaney » Tue May 08, 2018 5:13 pm

We have been restoring a 1952 GTB, and have struggled to free the crank pin that passes through the lower radiator tank. The shaft itself is seized inside the bore with 60 years of rust, dirt, etc. I would like to know how these crank pins are put together, as it appears to be two pieces fastened together. There is the outer crank jaw for your hand crank to engage with, and then a smaller diameter shaft that passes through the lower rad tank and engages with the crank jaw on the end of the crankshaft. I am guessing there must be a spring incorporated somewhere to retract the pin once the engine fires up?
Anybody got any pictures or a detailed parts explosion for this part of the tractor? We want it fixed and to work properly.
