Actually the length of the rod should be determined with the gov in the high idle or wide open position and the carb in the wide open against the wide open stop.

MMDEL - thanks again for the reminder.

I will start from the beginning using the ITS Manual, and instructions from you and G Brown.

I'm not sure the OEM rod is long, or just appears that way due to geometry, etc.

When I get to the tractor again, just want to make sure I have an arsenal of alternatives.

They're yelling Lake Effect snow here this weekend, so don't think Saturday morning will work. My fingers and thumbs don't work with small parts in the cold anymore.
