mm 445 steering

Postby Betobob1012 » Thu Oct 13, 2016 2:58 pm

Well i'm back with a new question. My 445 looks like it may have had PS at one time. the front end under the radiator has
where the steer power piston would be as per the IT manual. Steering shaft connects to what appears to be the worm
shaft housing. Other than that there are no lines or anything indicating PS. The part of front end where power piston
sleeves and power piston would go are sealed with factory looking large plugs. I dont mind manual steering except it has
a 1/4th of a turn free play in steering and cant find where to adjust the worm gear play. The book doesnt say any thing about
manual steering except that the 445 utility came with either one. Im going to read the steering section again, maybe i
missed something. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.
