1949 UTS Fenders

Postby ejb17 » Fri Aug 23, 2019 1:52 pm

New guy here. Been a old tractor fanatic for quite a while and mostly JD fanatic. But I recently bought a U302 and did tons of reading to catch up on MM history and tractor models. Wow, lots to learn again. So recently I found an ad for a 1949 UTS and had the owner send me a bunch of pictures. I am going to go look at it. It runs, but not well. Tires are shot but will roll enough to move it. Fenders could probably be repaired but not without a lot of bad vocabulary. Good news is both tags are still on it and the verbal history of when it was new and what it did most of its life.
Can decent fenders be had for it and were they used on other models?
Look forward to learning more from you folks.

1949 UTS would have clamshell fenders with no ribs. Very common from 1945-52.

I am in northern Illinois. Long haul. Truck freight would eat you up.
