My uncle passed away at 89 and wasent able to finish his last Moline project.
This R he told me was identicle to the first tractor he bought new. He bought this one 2 years ago, it looked good but had the typically noisy front bearing so he tore it down to freshen it up. This was one of many Molines he has done major work on. Moving forward he did not get it done. When I picked it up the cylinders were on and piston in it. The rest was on the floor. I put it back together and started it yesterday. The problem is it still has a noise in the front, it the loudest in front of the radiator. I don't think it's a bearing noise, it's more like a fan hitting something kind of noise. In searching for the problems I removed the fan, generator and even the crank pulley without a change. It has good oil pressure and I checked flow to the distributor. Any ideas ?
