front wheel

front wheel

Postby PRAIRIECARR » Mon Mar 12, 2018 1:00 pm

Hi folks
I am in need of a front wheel for a 1948 rtu. The manual I have showed part number 11A1136. I was going to get new from Steiner but the measurements are not the same. It is a 3x15, 4inch pilot hole, 4 1/2 back spacing. Steiner's is 4 5/8 pilot hole, 3 1/4 back spacing. When I was working on the hubs I got a screw on hub cap from a salvage yard which was to big. So, my question is did MM use different wheels and hubs? Does anyone have a wheel like I need that the bolt holes are not egg shaped?
Thanks, Bernie

Where are you located Bernie? I may have one here in NE Illinois, or you can spread the word and probably pick one up at the MM convention in Charles City Iowa in a week or so.

Thanks John for your reply. I am near Albuquerque so pickup is not possible. If you would email me at prairiecarr@yahoo.com then we could discuss price and shipping options. I look forward to hearing from you. thanks again. Bernie
